Blue Mission is managed by a Board of Directors made up of a President, a Finance Director, a General Secretary, and four other members with backgrounds in social work, finance, health, education, and nature conservation. The board is in charge of strategic planning, overseeing activities, active networking with partners, and representing the organization in government meetings.
Blue Mission with has worked with numerous field officers who act as trainers and program coordinators, as well as psychosocial trainers in athletics, music, drama, and dabkeh (traditional Lebanese dancing).
Sana El Bizri is founder, President and program mananger of Blue Mission. She holds a Masters in Sociology and Criminology as well as a DEA in psycho-pedagogy. She began her practical experience in 1985 with several international NGOs (Terre des Hommes, MSF Doctors without Borders [Luxembourg, France, Belgium, International Alliance, and Holland], as well as Enfant Refugiés du Monde) as a medico-social assistant and regional coordinator. Hanadi ElBizri is Blue Mission’s Financial Director. She is a graduate from Aleppo University, where she completed her Licence as Dental technician, Project management and accounting. Maroun Aziz is General Secretary in Blue Mission’s board. He is has extensive management experience with the Lebanese Red Cross. Maroun Aziz serves as a member of Jezzine Municipality and carries responsibility over the Bkassine Nature Reserve. He is also a trainer in the fields of emergency response (affiated with SPHERE in Lebanon and the Mena region), citizenship education, leadership, and community project management.
Khadijeh Chaalan is a founding member of Blue Mission. She has a diploma in Sports Education and a license in Philosophy and Archaeology. She currently works as public school principal and sports teacher. She has been a pillar under Blue Mission’s Ambassadors of Peace Project. Within the board, KhadijehChalaan specialises in education and recreative activities.
TarekBachacheh is member of Blue Mission’s board with special expertise in arts, theatre, education, and physiotherapy. He has contributed extensively to the success of Blue Mission’s Ambassadors of Peace Project.
Hanan Nahouli is board member of Blue Mission. She has a background in accounting, administration, and educational monitoring and works in a private school.
Raji Said is a founding member of Blue Mission and current board member. He has a degree in Arabic Literature and taught in a private school. He then became director of Ahlouna, a national NGO in the field of social welfare. Currently he works as teacher and coordinator in a private school. He supports and monitors Blue Mission youth in organising the weekly cineclub in Sidon Public Library and gives training in creative writing.
Blue Mission is currently supported by two international advisors: Mr. David Vickers, who has a lifetime of experience in general health, mental health and occupational health, nursing, teaching, counselling, and project management in Bosnia, Pakistan, Lebanon, Kuwait, and the UK; and Mr. Erik van Ommering, who has conducted ethnographic research on elementary education and violent conflict in Lebanon for VU University, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
